Michelle Galileos
Parent Connections – Facilitator
“I’m honoured with the opportunity to work with like-minded parents and families, to build a community of emotionally intelligent people who support each other and thrive together.” – Michelle
Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m happy that you’ve found your way here and I’d like to share a bit about myself with you.
My professional background lies within the counselling and mental health fields. I’m a qualified Tuning into TeensTM facilitator, a counsellor, and a mental health first-aid provider for teenagers. In my over 20 years of professional experience, I have particularly enjoyed educating parents and teens to support them through the vulnerable years of adolescence. This work has involved delivering tailored programs for parents of tweens and teens.
I also love working with schools, sports clubs, and youth centres, providing youth mentoring programs and developing engaging programs for parents and youth alike. Whether it’s drug and alcohol education, empowering teens to find their voice, or equipping parents with survival skills for the teen years, I’m there to guide you every step of the way.
Throughout my career, I’ve also had the privilege of collaborating with organisations such as Victoria Police, Monash Health, Mental Health Victoria, and Headspace. These partnerships have allowed me to provide access to vital external referrals and contacts, ensuring that families have the support they need.
In addition to being a trained facilitator for Tuning into TeensTM, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Marketing and Communication, a Graduate Diploma in Counselling, and I’m a certified Mental Health First-Aid Provider. I’m also a member of the Counselling Association.
In my personal life, I’m a mom to two teenage daughters. They keep me on my toes and provide me with valuable insights into the joys and challenges of raising teens. And let’s not forget my furbaby son, who brings endless joy and cuddles to our family.
My passion lies in assisting parents through the often challenging journey of raising children. I want every parent to feel supported and understood so they never have to face this rollercoaster alone. Together, we’ll navigate the ups and downs, sharing stories, wisdom, and resources along the way.
So, welcome to Parent Connections! I’m here to help empower you, support you, and remind you that you’re never alone.
